Trims: The additional materials except fabrics required to make the garments are termed as trims. That means trims are essential to make a garment. For example, the sewing thread is a trim.
Accessories: The materials which are used to ensure the garment marketable. Accessories are normally used after making the garment. That means it is not mandatory to make or sew a garment but it is necessary for selling purpose. For example, polybag, carton, hanger etc.
